An open letter to Congress.... Dear Congress,
I just wanted to top a quick note letting your know what a fantastic job you must be doing. With all the time and money spent quizzing baseball players, trainings, union personal and owners it is clear to me that all of the nations real problems have been solved.
Come to think of it. I did not seem to pass a homeless person on my way to work today.
Homeless Problem: Solved?
The radio did not mention a US Death in Iraq this morning.
War in Iraq: Solved?
No buildings have been bombed, No suitcase nukes exploded.
War on Terrorism: Won?
I did not run out of gas on the way to work this morning, and I have a job...
Energy Problems and Unemployment: Solved?
I took my meds this morning
Healthcare reform: Problem Solved?
Yes indeed. The only thing left for congress to get taken care of is this looming baseball issue and then a quick clean up of the cheaters in the NFL.
Again, I just want to commend you on the fine work you are doing. It is quite refreshing to know that all of our hard earned tax dollars are being used so efficiently that you have nothing better to work on. |
